Social Media Monitoring - First Interim Report

The present report analyzes the main trends identified on social media during the pre- election period of the 2021 local self- government elections. In particular, the report summarizes activity of official pages of political parties running in the elections and local self-government bodies, as well as results of monitoring anonymous and open pages operating for political purposes and other important trends. The report analyzes the period of 2-22 August 2021. ISFED monitors examined in detail 1,126 posts during the reporting period. Social media monitoring mostly covers Facebook but it also summarizes findings of monitoring on Telegram, Instagram and TikTok.
