A regional roundtable meeting on “Electoral Dispute Resolution in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus
A regional roundtable meeting on “Electoral Dispute Resolution in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus: Access to Justice and Effective Legal Remedies” took place in Warsaw, Poland, on 9-10 March, 2015. The conference was organized by OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).
International experts, representatives of state authorities and civil society from countries of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus such as Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Armenia took part in the conference. Elene Nizharadze, the lawyer of ISFED has participated in the meeting.
The aim of the meeting was to share exchange in implementing international standards on electoral dispute resolution on regional level and discussion of concrete challenges in this regard.
The main conclusions and suggestions emerging from the roundtable will be used by ODIHR to assist to the participating states in improving electoral practices.
