Training for the new generation of local civil society leaders

On February 26-27, an online training was held for the participants of the civic education workshops of the ongoing project "Empowering New Generation of Local Civil Society Leaders in Georgia" implemented with the financial support of the Black Sea Trust, a Project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States. The training discussed the following topics: how to write a project proposal, including objectives and expected results, problem statement, budget, monitoring and evaluation. Also, the participants received information about the methods of advocacy, challenges in this regard, experience of cooperation with central and local level bodies. 

Based on the received information, according to the needs of their municipalities, the participants will draft small grant project proposals and the competition will be announced for the selection. The selected grant projects will be implemented by the participants themselves with the financial support of the Black Sea Trust Black Sea Trust, a Project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the technical help of ISFED.
