Fair and impartial electoral dispute resolution is fundamentally essential for a healthy electoral process, to protect the rights of electoral stakeholders, and to increase public confidence in results.
Throughout its long-standing practice of election observation, the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) has accumulated extensive experience in electoral dispute litigation. The present document outlines challenges in the adjudication process in the electoral management body and courts and provides corresponding recommendations.
