Lomjaria met with representatives of media in Kutaisi and Batumi
On May 7-8, 2015, ISFED’s Executive Director Nino Lomjaria and lawyer Elene Nizharadze met with representatives of media in Kutaisi and Batumi together with regional coordinators of ISFED.
At the meeting Lomjaria presented a new project to journalists. The project is implemented by ISFED with financial support of the Embassy of Netherlands in Georgia. The project entitled Protecting Rights of Civil Servants for Politically Neutral and Discrimination-Free Public Service in Georgia aims at helping illegally dismissed public servants and victims of discrimination by provide legal assistance, including preparing legal documents, offering consultation and legal representation in court.
Journalists were also interested to hear about results of ISFED’s monitoring on the process of certification and competition in local self-government entities, as well as ISFED’s vision and strategy for reforming the election system in Georgia.
The meeting was attended by representatives of regional and national media outlets.
